Mission

Friendship New Vision Inc.'s mission is to promote the public welfare by administering programs designed to ameliorate the problems of poverty and maximize employment, provide educational assistance and training, and encourage economic development and affordable housing within the community.

Program Highlights

 

Friendship New Vision

Empower and develop  job skills for the developmentally disabled at three worksites and a skills development center.

 

Food Pantry:

Distribute food on the third Thursday of every month  from 9:30 am. until all food is gone.

 

Education:

Provide classes Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am. – 2:30 pm. to prepare for the GED, Driver's Test, or Work Ready Certificate. Also offered are classes in Adult Basic Literacy.

 

Affordable Housing:

Secure opportunities in home ownership for low to moderate income families in addition to market-rate new construction.

 

Utility Assistance:

Assist with utility bills, in partnership with the Salvation Army when funds are available. 

 The goal is to empower persons moving from dependency to self- efficiency and to secure economically rewarding lives.
